What medical appliances can you claim tax relief on ?
You can tax relief at 20% on the following medical appliances where is it got on the advice of register medical practitioner:
- Hearing Aid
- Glucometer
- Orthapedic bed or chair
- Wheelchair or wheelchair lift
- Exercise bike
- Computer
- False Eye
- Wigs
Would recommend that a certificate be obtained if any doubt from the medical practitioner in case of revenue query:
- Confirms the nature of illness or condition
- Confirms that the device has been advised by the GP
- Confirm the devie is required to alleviate the the illness or condition
