Social welfare entitlements for self employed ?
If you are self employed or a director, what social welfare benefits are you entitled to ?
If you are self employed, you would be paying the S stamp which is 4% of earnings or €500 minimum per year
PRSI at Class S provides cover for:
- Widows, Widowers and Surviving Civil Partners Contributory pension
- Guardians payment (Contributory)
- State pension (Contributory)
- Maternity and Paternity Benefit
- Adoptive Benefit
- Treatment Benefit, (Dental, Optical and Aural) with effect from 27 March 2017)
- Invalidity pension ( since December 2017 )
The above is on assumption that sufficient stamps have been paid
