Carer for incapacitated person

You may claim an allowance for a carer employed to care for an incapacitated relative

This allowance is given at the lower of

a) the amount incurred in employing the carer

and

b) €75,000

You must register for PAYE/PRSI as an employer and deduct tax from wages paid to the carer
