Paying maintenance payments to a former spouse ?

If so the following can be claimed back:

Income Tax

An individual is entitled to a deduction in arriving at total income in respect of legally enforceable maintenance payments made to a former spouse and thereby should obtain a refund of income tax

USC

USC can also be claimed back on the maintenance payments

PRSI

PRSI can also be claimed back on the maintenance payments

The above is subject to qualifying conditions and can be claimed back at the end of the relevant tax year.
