Any incentives for taking on a new employee ?

Yes, there is an incentive called the “jobsplus” scheme where the employee you hope to take on has been out of

work for more than 12 or 24 months out.

The Incentive will provide two levels of payment: a payment of €7,500 over two years to an employer for each person recruited who has been unemployed for more than 12 but less than 24 months and €10,000 over two years to an employer for each person recruited who has been unemployed for more than 24 months. The new Incentive will be payable monthly in arrears.

In order to qualify you must offer full time employment of at least 30 hours per week, spanning at least four days per week to eligible recruits (i.e. that employee must be on payroll and subject to PAYE and PRSI).
