Number of revenue audits & interventions increasing !

Based on the Revenue Commissioner report for 2014 published today there was:

437,181 audits and other revenue interventions undertaken by Revenue in 2014 from which they got €610 million, that works out at an average of €1,395 per case

437 taxpayers settlements with revenue published in the press with 1,199 brought to court, fined and published in the press

Revenue sheriff and solicitor collected €222 million from 42,000 taxpayers
