Tax Relief on donations to sports bodies

There is tax relief available for donations to revenue approved sports bodies if the following applies:

1. Has to be made to revenue approved sports body with tax clearance
2. Has to be made for purposes of a revenue approved sports project such as new dressing rooms, pitch etc
3. Donation has to be more than €250

You can go back 4 years to 2021 to claim for any unclaimed donations but this has to be submitted to revenue by the 31st December 2025 otherwise relief for 2021 will be losts
