Medical Appliances – Tax Relief

a) glucometer machines

b) hearing aids

c) orthopaedic beds or chairs

d) wheelchairs or wheelchair lifts

e) exercise bicycles

f) computers, if necessary to solve communication difficulties for a person with a severe disability

g) false eyes

h) wigs.

In all cases, the appliance must be medically necessary and used on the advice of a practitioner.

You cannot claim relief for appliances that you purchase without recommendation from a doctor, consultant, dentist or surgeon.
