This is a grant based incentive for employers to employ those who have been unemployed for greater than 12 months

It provides a payment of €7,500 over 2 years to an employer who has been unemployed for each person who has been unemployed for more than 12 months but less than 24 months or €10,000  over 2 years who has been unemployed for more than 24 months

The incentive is paid monthly in arrears and is not regards as income for income tax or corporation tax
