Home renovation scheme

You can obtain an income tax credit of 13.5% of qualifying improvements to your home or a rental property.

This is equivalent to vat on the job

The credit is paid over 2 years following the year in which the work was carried out.

The annual minimum qualifying expenditure is €5,000 and maximum is €30,000.

To get the credit your local property tax is up to date and the contractor must be tax compliant
