Rent a room relief

If you rent out a room in your house, you can get rent of up to €12,000 tax free every year.

Note the following important points:

1) Has to be a room in your home as opposed to a full house for rent

2) Can claim for a self attached unit that is apart of your home, but it has to be physically joined

to the house.

3) Does not apply to bed and breakfast income
