Social Welfare – Treatment benefit scheme

Treatment Benefit Scheme has been extended to cover self-employed people who pay Class S PRSI from the 27th March 2017

Up to now self employed persons could not claim same.

You should contact the Department of social welfare or your treatment provider to check your eligibility before proceeding with any treatment.

Under the Treatment Benefit Scheme, you may qualify for:

• Dental benefit
• Optical benefit
• Hearing aids
