Incapacitated Child Tax Credit
You can claim Incapacitated Child Tax Credit if you have a child who is permanently incapacitated, either physically or mentally, and who is unable to support themselves.
If you have more than one child who is permanently incapacitated you may claim a credit for each child.
You will not qualify for the Incapacitated Child Tax Credit if your child’s incapacity is not permanent or is treatable.
Per Revenue, this includes for example diabetes which can be treated with insulin, coeliac disease or hearing impairment which can be corrected by hearing aid.
Incapacitated child credit gives an additional tax credit of €3,300
